Spring in Provence

A quick visit to Provence. It is mainly to thank my good friends here who are working so hard to raise the funds for Taliesin. The launch of their TALBOLA went well and ticket sales continue . There are some wonderful prizes. The cook book is nearly finished but I need to go up North to visit my parents next week so it will not make the end of February as promised. It has been a boost to see a glimpse  of early signs of Spring.

Mimosa in Bloom

Every street corner in Aix has someone selling mimosa. The forest out towards Nice must look magnificent. The flower market is at its most colourful.

Aix Flower Market

On the coast the almond trees are covered in pink candy floss and the lemon trees are laiden with fruit.

Citron Season

Sadly we cannot stay for the Citron Festival in Menton or the Battle of the Flowers in Nice. We are heading back to the UK and next stop  for me the North East.
