Hazy but hot and humid today. We had no great expectations for Tal as he had to meet a new Physio.. Erica. We didn’t need to worry he worked really hard.
He worked very hard on the treadmill side-stepping.
He then worked on his favourite rocket machine.
The session went really well and for reward he got his new shoes.
The shoes flash when he takes a step, they match his splints and have Lightening McQueen on the side…. how cool is that?
The adults celebrated with a treat for lunch.
This is a vanilla version of the local sticky butter cake. You can get several flavours, Key Lime. Blueberry, Pecan Chocolate and Raspberry,
OR Tuxedo ..dark chocolate etc but by near lunch time Louie had almost sold out. This cake is the only thing this shop sells.
It is disgustingly good and we may have to go back to try the other flavours.
After nap Tal wanted to work again so after lots of “tactivities” we went for late night opening at the BOTANICAL GARDENS.
Tal loved playing shop in the General Store of the Children’s Garden.
There was a free music concert by the lake and it seemed every family in St Louis had come with a picnic. No stuffy park rules every patch of grass was available to sit on and was quickly occupied.
Gethin found some sheep sculptures to ride.
The boys were hungry so as we started to leave the thunder rumbled. Close to home there was a downpour. We wondered what had happened to the hundreds camped out with serious picnic equipment in the park and were grateful we beat the rush to leave.
